EquiSea's Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal (mCDR) Scientific Cohort

Applications are now open for the EquiSea 2026 Marine Carbon Dioxide Removal (mCDR) Scientific Cohort, a funded capacity-building programme designed for researchers working in ocean acidification and marine carbon cycle science. Organized by The Ocean Foundation's Ocean Science Equity Initiative (EquiSea), the programme aims to strengthen scientific expertise, expand global collaboration, and support researchers from underrepresented regions in advancing marine carbon dioxide removal research. Selected participants will receive financial support to attend specialized workshops and the 6th International Symposium on the Ocean in a High-CO₂ World, taking place in Wellington, New Zealand, from 13–16 October 2026.

RBC Women in Cleantech Accelerator

The RBC Women in Cleantech (WIC) Accelerator, powered by MaRS, is part of the answer. The RBC Women in Cleantech Accelerator recruits 7-10 outstanding women entrepreneurs for a two-year program that focuses on advancing their breakthrough ideas into market-ready cleantech products with the potential for global impact. Benefit from coaching and connections to technology and policy experts, leading CDR buyers, verification bodies and fundraising professionals. 15,000 euros purchase agreement - We want you to show commercial traction. We offer a purchase agreement to startups selected to join the Leap stage of our program. For enablers, we offer a recoverable grant. We do not take equity.
Net Zero Challenge
Deadline: AUGUST 31, 2026
Teams will compete in three tracks for a total prize pool of VND 15 billion to pilot their solutions in Vietnam. Only teams that have developed a minimally viable product, a pilot plan to demonstrate proof of value in Vietnam with the intention of commercialization are eligible to join. Renewables and Carbon Removal: We are seeking innovative solutions that drive the adoption of renewable energy sources and contribute to the removal of carbon emissions. Of key interest are breakthrough technologies and scalable projects that enhance carbon sequestration, improve effectiveness and efficiency of energy use, such as in transportation and alternative materials in construction, and solutions for carbon markets.
Frontier Innovation Funds
Frontier's goal is to get carbon removal on its best possible trajectory. Our Innovation track is designed to provide two types of funding to support this goal: prepurchases and R&D grants. Prepurchases help emerging projects get out of the lab and into the field to start delivering tons of carbon removal, while R&D grants provide funding to teams addressing critical field research gaps. Frontier accepts Innovation track applications on a rolling basis and prioritizes projects that meet Frontier’s foundational purchase criteria and address our target innovation areas.
NorthX Climate Tech Open Intake
NorthX will fund Canadian companies advancing greenhouse gas reduction and removal innovations, with clear commercialization pathways and economic benefits. Preference will be given to those demonstrating the greatest impact in BC and contributing across Canada. NorthX will not fund standalone studies, research projects, software or digital solutions. NorthX will accept expressions of interest (EOI) on a continuous basis. Companies may submit applications at any time through the NorthX portal.
